Campaign School 2026 Recap!
Campaign School 2026 took place on Saturday, January 31st, at the Powell Community Center in Mission, Kansas. The event brought together aspiring candidates, advocates, and community leaders for a day of practical training, meaningful conversations, and connection-building, all centered around the shared goal of electing pro-choice women leaders.
Attendees participated in an engaging panel discussion featuring experienced elected officials who shared candid insights about running for office, serving their communities, and building effective campaigns. Panelists included Roeland Park City Councilwoman Jan Faidley, Olathe School Board member Claire Reagan, Missouri State Representative Pattie Mansur, and Kansas City, Missouri, Councilmember Melissa Patterson Hazley. The conversation was moderated by Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson, who guided a dynamic discussion on leadership, strategy, and the ins and outs of running for office as a woman.
The energy throughout the day was inspiring, with participants exchanging ideas, asking thoughtful questions, and strengthening a growing network of people committed to advancing reproductive freedom and women’s leadership. Campaign School 2026 reinforced the power of community and education in preparing the next generation of pro-choice leaders.
