The Caucus makes endorsements based on a candidate's commitment to the advancement of women's rights and opportunities. We endorse candidates in Missouri and Kansas, from all political parties and in state, local and federal races. Through the WPC Political Action Committee, direct campaign contributions are made to state and local candidates, not federal candidates. If you are running for state or local office and would like to be considered for endorsement, please contact us for a screening questionnaire.
Considerations for candidate endorsement and contributions: Mandatory Requirements are bolded.
- Pro-choice, pro ERA
- Female first if pro-choice, but males also considered
- Open Seat
- Poll Numbers
- Experienced Candidate (have they run before or held office?)
- Other issues: guns, human rights, healthcare, childcare, etc.
- Who holds or held seat prior
- Training/Staff
- Name ID
- Recruited (by whom?)
- Money on hand
- Personal money
- Demographics of district
- Endorsement by other groups
- Voting record (if previous office-holder)
